Five From MENA Head To Cannes Lions 2016 As Jurors

Cannes Jurors

Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has finally set up all its juries. From the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, five of the region’s best are headed to the global advertising platform as jurors. Some may find the number under represented for an entire region, but given the industry predictions of four jurors and the fact that MENA is relatively newer to the global advertising competitions, five-jurors is reflective of the growth that MENA is witnessing in its advertising contribution globally.

In past years, the representation of MENA jurors in Cannes Lions have been around two and the increase is being seen as a significant milestone for the region.

The five jurors include:
Paul Shearer, Chief Creative Officer at Memac Ogilvy in the Promo & Activation Lions category.

Ash Chagla, who recently resigned from Y&R to launch Science & Sunshine as its Executive Creative Director in the Film Lions category.

Fadi Yaish, the Regional Executive Creative Director at Impact BBDO, who was named Jury Chair at Crest and will also be seen judging at the One Show, is judging the Print & Publishing Lions category.

Kalpesh Patankar Executive Creative Director at Y&R Dubai is juror in the Radio Lions category.

Anahita Kheder, who set up FremantleMedia’s Middle East operations and currently the Senior Vice President of the content company, is a juror in Entertainment Lions.
