Globally, mobiles are the most important device for getting online. As such, people are doing more activities – from social networking to buying online – that have made a comprehensive migration to smartphones.
While at a global level, more than 52 percent of internet users are purchasing via mobile each month. With 63 percent searching for products on these devices, it’s clear that most aren’t just browsing.
In a region wise divide, the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region is second only to Asia Pacific in people transacting online using their mobile devices. MEA is just under 40 percent in the growing m-commerce trend.
