Publicis Media’s Steve Parker On Collaboration & Biz Transformation

Steve ParkerPublicis Media is gearing up for a new structure in the region, with a new Middle East CEO in Steve Parker, who is relocating to Dubai from London for the new role.

Mr Parker, who is in Dubai at the moment, says that he sees ambition and entrepreneurship in the region. “In all my meetings in Dubai so far, I have seen ambition in people’s eyes – the ambition to work, and to become an entrepreneur,” remarked Mr Parker, while speaking at the ongoing Arabnet Summit 2016.

The summit, this year, focussed on comprehending how brands and agencies should adapt to the needs and interests of customers in the digital age. As touch points between businesses and customers multiply, agencies need to work hand-in-hand with brands to help reshape the consumer experience – from product creation to customer service.

“We are living in an age of disruption where the traditional ways of going-to-market is changing rapidly. As media agencies, we have an opportunity to deliver business transformation and not just media transformation,” commented Mr Parker.

Mr Parker reminds that media sits at the centre of creativity and technology. He said, “Our role is to bring these together effectively and efficiently. In this disruptive age, we need to become partners of change, partners to drive growth, partners to engineer customer experience.”

Elaborating on what areas Publicis Media is likely to focus on in the future, Mr Parker informed, “A genuine effort should be put on collaboration; business cannot work in isolation. We must seek collaboration that is respectful and complimentary to capabilities. We will listen, learn and lead through business collaboration.”
