After starting its services in Paris and United States few days back, Sky News Arabia has expanded its footprint to Canada with the 24-hour Arabic news channel. This news channel will be available on Canadian cable television service, Rogers Cable.
Similar to the deal with Sling TV for USA, this deal will enable viewers to watch a live stream of the Abu Dhabi-based channel online for a monthly subscription fee.
“Having been reaching out to our audiences in the United States via Sling TV, joining Rogers Cable was the next strategic step. We have always been keen to provide our followers and audience, regardless of their location, with a continuous broadcast of our unique content on various platforms,” said Nart Bouran, CEO, Sky News Arabia.
“This expansion aligns with our efforts as an international media organization to provide quality content. It also complements our presence on other platforms such as satellite TV, website, social media, smart mobile applications, and live broadcasting on six major international airlines. This new service will enable our Canadian audience and followers to watch our broadcast on smart devices via subscription,” he continued.
Sky News Arabia currently operates multiple bureaus in the Arab world and has international representation on four continents. Apart from Paris and USA, latest openings include Kuwait, Nouakchott, Aden, Tunis and Jeddah.
