WFA Takes Its Global Marketer Week To Morocco In 2015

The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) is taking its annual affair, Global Marketer Week (GMW), to Morocco in its forthcoming edition, reiterating the importance of the North Africa region for global marketers. In partnership with the Association of Advertisers in Morocco (GAM), WFA has lined up some high-profiled leaders to be part of the 2015 Global Marketer Conference, a showcase event at the GMW.

The GMW will span from March 16-20, 2015 and the Conference would be held on March 18, bringing together the world’s top marketers to discuss common challenges facing brands, growth strategies in an era of fluctuating economic fortunes as well as the potential and challenges of marketing to consumers across Africa.

As Africa plats host for the Global Marketing Conference for the first time, some of the speakers expected include Achieng Butler, Senior Vice President of Airtel Money; Ajaz Ahmed, CEO of AKQA; Mardochee Devico, CEO of Aicha; Conny Kalcher, Vice President of Marketing & Consumer Experiences, LEGO; Lubomira Rochet, Chief Digital Officer of L’Oréal and Toby Shapshak, Editor and Publisher of Stuff.

The event will also have African Accelerator session, designed to highlight the opportunities for brands across the continent, a session by Contagious on the engaging and innovative strategies over the past year and a Project Reconnect panel featuring both young consumers and Global CMOs as well as contributions from Karmarama and BrainJuicer.

The WFA will also release results from the first study focused exclusively on marketers in Africa. Further research will be unveiled at the Project Reconnect session looking at the good, the bad and the ugly of today’s marketing.
