This year’s 7th Effie MENA Awards is going to have 13 international judges, and 90 regional judges at senior corporate level from a variety of industry sectors. The award ceremony will be held in Dubai next month.
Members of the judging panel include Ian Armstrong, Advertising General Manager at Jaguar Land Rover – London, Dany Doueik, Chief Commercial Officer at VIVA/STC, Ajay keerthy, Head of Marketing UAE & MENA – RBWM Marketing at HSBC Bank Middle East, Christopher Saldana, Director Marketing Services, EEMEA at Mondelez Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa, Felix H Weller, Regional Director Sales & Marketing – Cadillac at General Motors, Islam ElDessouky, Integrated Marketing Communications Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, Thomas Delabriere, Vice President Marketing – Middle East, Turkey and Africa at MARS GCC, Asad ur Rehman, Director Media – MENA at Unilever Gulf FZE, Vikram Krishna, Head Group Marketing & Customer Experience at Emirates NBD as well as Eslam Darwish, SVP/ Head of Marketing at Mastercard Worldwide.

This year’s Effie MENA Awards categories include 12 under ‘Product and Service,’ eight under ‘Specialty’ and a single ‘Shopper Marketing’ category. There is also a ‘Grand Prix’ award and a chance for entrants to win ‘The Most Effective Marketing Team’, ‘The Most Effective MENA Agency Network of the Year’ and ‘The Most Effective MENA Agency Office of the Year.’
Previous winners in the renowned scheme have included Nissan Middle East, Chalhoub Group, Henkel, Lebanese Broadcasting Company, du, Procter & Gamble, PEPSICO, Red Bull, General Motors, Coca-Cola, Emirates NBD, Vodafone, McDonalds, Sony Xperia, adidas, Nike, and Unilever.
