As JWT celebrates its 150th year of existence, it has decided to go back to its roots and has taken the decision of returning to its original name J. Walter Thompson. It was in 2005 that the agency had renamed to JWT Worldwide.
Following the renaming, the visual identity has also taken on a new look to drive its heritage into the future, while unifying its brand around the world. The new look features a custom-designed modern typeface displayed prominently over the watermark of the founder’s original signature. The Wise Owl—the original icon from 1864 will be used strategically throughout select branding.
