The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity announced that it has received a record 2,473 entries across its 15 award categories.

Some categories saw significant increases this year with Branded Content & Entertainment receiving 93% more versus 2014 and PR increasing by 84%, while entries into Mobile have tripled this year.

Submissions came from a total of 21 countries with the UAE submitting the most entries (1252), followed by Lebanon (393) and then Egypt (312) across all categories.

“The record number was a reflection of how much the region’s industry had developed and excelled in recent years and that its performance on the global stage at Cannes Lions over the last few years had proved that MENA is now a market to watch in the creative arena,” commented Emma Farmer, Festival Director, Dubai Lynx.

43 global jurors will shortly meet in Dubai to set industry benchmarks by deciding which of the entries are of award winning  status.

PR Jury President, Ann Maes, Managing Director, Ogilvy Public Relations Belgium, shared, “There’s magical work out there. These little gems need to be celebrated and shared- and I’m truly excited to be discovering them together with my team in Dubai.”

Dubai Lynx will open on Sunday 8 March and the shortlisted work, as decided by the jury, will be exhibited from Monday 9 March onwards. The Festival culminates on Wednesday 11 March with the Dubai Lynx Awards Ceremony.
