Akamai has appointed Hans Nipshagen to the role of Head of EMEA Channels and Alliances. He will be responsible for Akamai’s EMEA channel strategy, a primary route to market in the region. His new role will see him growing Akamai’s regional partner program to drive sales growth.
Mr Nipshagen has worked with Akamai for over seven years in a wide variety of roles, most recently as Regional Sales Leader, with responsibility for sales of security and performance services in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is also the Managing Director of Akamai Benelux. He is based in Amsterdam and was the first Akamai employee in Benelux.
Prior to Akamai, he worked with international carriers including Verizon and UUNET. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, and a track record as a sales leader, having previously managed the Enterprise sales organization of Verizon in The Netherlands.
