After the estimated USD 600 million deal was completed in March this year between Amazon and Souq, the latter ecommerce platform has been slowly integrating the services of Amazon on its platform.
Following the new feature of Amazon users being able to access Souq website with their Amazon credentials, now users can access AmazonBasics on the Middle East ecommerce site.
Souq Founder and CEO Ronaldo Mouchawar took to Facebook to make this new announcement. “AmazonBasics are now available on Souq.com. Great selection of best in class products at very affordable prices,” he said.
AmazonBasics features a range of affordable electronic products, from tablet accessories to cables, plus the products range from AED 20 to AED 50. Currently there are AmazonBasics offers 72 products, however the US site has thousands.
At the time of the new partnership, Mr Mouchawar revealed that the integration of Amazon’s technology and global resources with its local expertise will help to offer a great service to our loyal customers. “By becoming part of the Amazon family, we’ll be able to vastly expand our delivery capabilities and customer selection much faster, as well as continue Amazon’s great track record of empowering sellers.”
