The Direct Lions Shortlist for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity was announced earlier today. Dubai agencies stole the show in the Middle East and North Africa Region. There have been 277 nominations in the Direct Shortlist. Agencies from Dubai have won eight nominations while there is one each from Beirut and Tunisia, making the total nominations from MENA ten.
FP7/Dxb has maximum nominations from MENA with three shortlists. Y&R Dubai and Impact BBDO have been nominated twice each while Leo Burnett Beirut, Geometry Global Dubai and 3SG-BBDO Ariana, Tunisia got one shortlist each.
