Design Lions brings good news to MENA agencies this year. Unlike last year, when no agency had won any Lions in the category, this year, there are three Silver Lions in the category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity – two by J Walter Thompson and one for Y&R Dubai. There is also a Bronze Lion win by Memac Ogilvy Qatar.

J. Walter Thompson MENA picked up two Silvers for the work from its Cairo and Lebanon offices for “Downtown Fonts’ for Al Ismaelia Real Estate Investment and ‘The Good Note’ for Bou Khalil Supermache respectively.

Be Seen

Y&R Dubai bagged a Silver Lion for ‘Be Seen’ for The Cartel.

Memac Ogilvy’s Qatar office  has been awarded a Bronze Design Lion for ‘Breaking a Fatal Pattern’ for Qatar Islamic Bank.

The Grand Prix was won by ‘Panasonic’ for Dentsu Inc Tokyo.
