Orange Jordan Becomes Mentor To ‘BIG’ Startups

Orange Jordan has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj), to utilize its ‘Blue Ocean Council’ (BOC) to provide mentorship and extra guidance for the benefit of the participating entrepreneurs in the third season of BIG.

Through the agreement, Orange Jordan aims to give the opportunity to start-ups of BIG starting with its season 3 to benefit from the expert mentorship of BOC. An initiative launched by Intaj, BOC is dedicated to providing technical and professional advisory services to individual entrepreneurs and companies in the ICT sector, as a lucrative addition to the vast array of services that Orange Jordan offers to aspiring start-ups.

“We are very proud to enter into a partnership such as this one with Intaj’s ‘Blue Ocean Council’ because we strongly believe in empowering entrepreneurs and nurturing their start-ups. We firmly believe that entrepreneurs will greatly benefit from this new partnership, and, as a result, they will contribute to bettering Jordan’s socioeconomic future in the long run,” said Jérôme Hénique, CEO, Orange Jordan.

“We are true believers that entrepreneurs and startups are the drivers of Jordan’s transformation to a digital economy, as per the royal initiative, REACH2025. There is no doubt that Orange is a major contributor towards making such transformations happen through its support to startups and the related ecosystem in our beloved country,” commented Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, Chairman, Intaj.

Inaugurated as a component part of Orange Jordan’s five-year corporate strategy Essentials2020, Business Innovation Growth, ‘BIG’, is a stage startup accelerator program aimed at Jordanian entrepreneurs.
