Radio Disappoints; No Awards Given @DubaiLynx

The Radio Lynx category has disappointed this year, as the Festival organizers informed that the jury had awarded no metals in this category. This year, there were 130 entries competing for the Radio Lynx in 2015, in comparison to 136 entries in 2014. Of these, 13 entries, primarily across three agencies had made it to the shortlist.

While the category has not seen a Grand Prix for five years at least, last year, a total of seven Radio Lynx was awarded. The category has won nine Lynx in 2011 and eight Lynx in 2012. In 2013, the number had come to a low of three Lynx.

This year, David Lubars, Chief Creative Officer, BBDO Worldwide and Chairman, BBDO North America is the Jury President for this category. In his President’s address, Mr Lubars was other optimistic on the overall quality of work from the Festival.

The other jury members for Radio Lynx were Paul Silburn, Chief Creative Director Saatchi & Saatchi; Can Faga, Chief Creative Officer Lowe and Partners; Cheryl Van Ooyen, Managing Director, Executive Creative Director mcgarrybowen; Fran Luckin, Executive Creative Director, Quirk; Kurt Georg Dieckert, Creative Director and Founder, dieckertschmidt and Wain Choi, Global Executive Director and VP, Cheil Worldwide.
