RAK Tourism Assigns Digital Mandate To Dentsu’s Digital Republic

Dentsu Aegis Network’s digital creative agency based in Cairo and Dubai, Digital Republic linked by Isobar, has been awarded the digital creative, strategy and social media activation duties for Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.

The agency will create and execute a number of digital and social marketing campaigns for the tourism brand, targeting local, GCC and international markets. Its efforts will be supported by John Brown Media providing ongoing intelligent content and iProspect managing Search.

The win comes after an in-house pitch for the business, in which Dentsu Aegis was able to leverage the existing relationship between Carat and RAK TDA. Taking advantage of the network model, the team was able to demonstrate a synergy across brands that allows for consistency from strategy to creative conceptualization to delivery.

“RAK TDA has an ambitious target to reach 1 million visitors to the Emirate in 2018. By aligning our communications efforts under one roof we believe we are much better placed to deliver on this target by creating a holistic approach that delivers experiences that reflect how consumer’s behave on a daily basis. We needed a digital marketing partner with home grown local knowledge and talent, but who can also deliver on our international ambitions – we look forward to working with Digital Republic linked by Isobar and the wider Dentsu Aegis team to achieve our objectives,” said Matteo Prato, Director, Destination Marketing & Promotions, RAK TDA.

“The adventure, history and beauty of Ras Al Khaimah is unrivaled in the region and we are extremely pleased to be given the opportunity to raise awareness of the Emirate. We will be launching a creative and digital journey that represents all Ras Al Khaimah has to offer, delivering solutions that will resonate across audiences and helping RAK TDA to deliver on their tourism goals,” said Karim Khalifa, Founder and CEO, Digital Republic linked by Isobar.
