SOS Children Villages Asks What Life Without Mom Can Be

Mothers across the world are the same in many ways. In a film that reminds viewers of the things that moms do when one lives abroad, NGO SOS Children’s Villages and TBWA\Raad attempt to invoke the parent-child emotion in viewers. The ad shows children with different nationalities acting out the ‘universal actions’ of mothers when they talk to their children who are settled abroad.

These include talking loudly on the phone or sending messages on WhatsApp every two minutes. Each of these conversations ends with the mothers wishing her children well. Eventually, the message of the ad turns from a gentle reminder to a sensitive call as the viewer learns that none of the children in the commercial have a mother.
