The week has ended with a cautionary note due to the cyclone predictions to hit Fujairah. The Abu Dhabi Police water rescue team was immediately deployed in Fujairah after reports of water logging in the area and along Sharjah’s Kalba district came in. A video was also posted of the high tide and rough seas due to a possible hit by cyclone Ashobaa striking across the coast of Oman. It’s fingers crossed right now, as people are hoping for the best, while preparing for the worst.
On Twitter, many agencies and citizens tweeted messages alerting people to be be safe.

One Direction singer Liam Payne’s popularity was celebrated on twitter with #LiamDay, where his fans tweeted their love and support for him. While #LiamDay trended in the United Arab Emirates, #TeenChoice Awards trended in Egypt. The awards are aired on Fox Network and honors achievements in music, movies, television and fashion world. The votes are received from teen viewers between the age of 13 to 19.
