3M Banks On Ecommerce For Middle East

3M, an American innovative sciences company, is taking the ecommerce route to grow its presence in the Middle East. The company has partnered with Souq to launch an assortment of automotive parts, personal care products, home supplies, stationery, air filters among others. The products will be available to customers in the UAE, KSA and Egypt.

Launching on Souq allows 3M to provide products such as window films, car accessories, personal care from Futuro and Littman brands. The company also plans to add industrial and commercial range products throughout 2018. The company said that as online shoppers in the Middle East become comfortable buying auto parts through ecommerce, the timing was right.

“We are delighted to be collaborating with Souq. The platform provides a remarkable opportunity for 3M to expand the reach of our products regionally. As a company committed to deliver innovative solutions through applying science to life, this is a brilliant way to connect more closely and touch the lives of people every day,” said Robert Nichols, Managing Director of 3M Middle East & North Africa.

“3M is an exciting addition to our offerings. With a presence in 65 countries, 3M has maintained its reputation of offering its customers innovative solutions to life’s daily needs, an attribute that we look for in all its collaborations with global suppliers. As we continue to strive and fulfill all the essential needs of our customers, we believe this collaboration will be a step further in our constant effort to exceed our customers’ expectations,” commented Saleem Hammad, General Manager KSA, Souq.com.
