Coke Studio is all set to come back to MBC4 – this season with the aim to celebrate heritage and tradition through music on the streets of the Arab world. The ‘Coke Studio Bel 3arabi’ season four will be launching on January 15, 2016 with a new format that will see artists coming together to create hits in Arabic language. The show will be filmed on the streets of the Middle East and show the diverse landscape of the cities. The format will allow musicians to engage and connect directly with fans.
From the mountains in Lebanon to the Egyptian pyramids to the UAE’s desert and urban metropolis, the new season promises to explore the culture, music and sounds of each nation and seeks to celebrate Arabic tradition through passion and love for music.
The host for the season will be Mahmoud El Esseily and Bushra. The show will be featuring musicians from across the Arab world producing songs that embody the diverse styles of Arabic music. The new season moves away from the previous structure of creating fusions between Arab and Western musicians.
This season also features captivating collaborations between Middle Eastern artists with differing musical styles. The show will see return of Balqees Fathi and Maya Diab, and will also welcome new faces on board, such as Ramy Sabry, Bahaa Sultan, Rami Ayach, Wael Jassar, Amal Maher, and Egyptian superstar Amina.
“Season four of ‘Coke Studio Bel 3arabi’ is a celebration of Arabic music and culture. We chose to focus on artists from the Middle East this season because of the rich heritage that is characteristic of this part of the world, which we want to celebrate with music fans. Through the Coca-Cola values, Coke Studio brings to music the unity, happiness, and refreshing experiences that the brand has always been an advocate of. Filmed in locations across the Middle East, the new season moves away from the studio and into the streets to be even closer to the fans,” said Tolga Cebe, Marketing Director of The Coca-Cola Company.
Throughout season four, artists will be given the chance to travel to different Arab countries to discover the culture, history, traditions and music that make each country unique.
