In support of cancer patients, Dabur Amla had launched a campaign titled ‘Strong Hair Stronger You’ in October 2020 in order to generate awareness and inspire women across UAE to donate their hair.
Friends of Cancer Patients (FCOP) and Tips & Toes Salons had said to support the initiative which resulted in the collection of approximately 60 kilograms of hair within a span of 2 months. Since its launch, the campaign has stated to receive close to 1000 registrations and over 300 women have donated their hair for this noble cause.
“We are overwhelmed by the participation of so many thoughtful people who have been instrumental in making our effort a success. Cancer survivors are winners against all odds and we are glad to bring a smile to those winners in life, through this initiative,” stated Krishan Kumar Chutani, CEO, Dabur International.
During the campaign, Tips & Toes Salons claimed to place the hair collection boxes in 23 branches across UAE to collect hair from volunteers and offered free haircuts as part of the initiative. FOCP too stated generating awareness about the campaign and also help in making hair prosthetics from the collected hair and distribute them to patients for free.
