Going Beyond Advertising At Dubai Lynx’ Sundowner Sessions

This year, Dubai Lynx has launched a dedicated program, Sundowner Sessions, focused on commercial production, its challenges and opportunities for the future. Hosted by twofour54, the sessions will feature a range of some of the region’s top producers and directors.

“This series of talks caters directly to the huge production industry here in the region. We’re delighted to be working with twofour54 whose expertise and experience are helping to develop this industry and drive it forward. The audience are going to get to experience some really interesting discussions and should come away with ignited interest,” commented Terry Savage, Chairman, Dubai Lynx.

The sessions analyze the impactful role production plays in the overall creative communications industry and provide insights on new and exciting creative processes in film directing and producing. Also included is a more practical review of the challenges faced by those in the industry and how they can be resolved.

The line-up of panelists includes:

Mostafa, Film Director & Producer; Azza Alou Al Magd, Executive Producer, Bazooka Film Production; Rami Yasin, Director & Producer, Breakout Films; Omar Hilal, Film Director, Great Guns; Sameer Al Jaberi, Associate Creative Producer, twofour54 Abu Dhabi and Dolly Saidy-Makhoul, Managing Director, Mint Production.

As hosts of the program, Maryam Al Mheiri, CEO, twofour54 commented, “Our aim is to be the regional hub for content creation and Dubai Lynx is the perfect platform for us to serve excellence and meet the content creators from local and regional companies.” The company, based in Abu Dhabi, provides office space, production facilities, talent development initiatives, alongside training and business support services for media companies.

Taking place on the Networking Stage in the Festival Village on Sunday 5 and Monday 6 March, the sessions will include opportunities for the audience to ask the panel questions.
