LinkedIn’s To Recognize MENA’s ‘Happiest’ Organization

LinkedIn is gearing up for the 2017 LinkedIn MENA Talent Awards, that celebrates the success of Middle East & North Africa (MENA) companies in the talent acquisition and employer branding space. At this year’s edition, LinkedIn, in partnership with UAE’s National Program for Happiness and Positivity, will introduce an award called the ‘Culture of Happiness’ to be presented to the most deserving organization based on three elements — loyalty, engagement and positivity, as per LinkedIn platform data.

Inspiring the award, the UAE’s National Program for Happiness and Positivity is aimed at making happiness and positivity a daily practice in government and private entities’ work, and a lifestyle in the UAE community. The Program was set up last year in the UAE and saw a number of initiatives being launched including appointment and training of ‘Chief Happiness and Positivity Officers’. The Program urges government and private sectors to instill happiness and positivity in their policies, programs, services, and their work environments.

“LinkedIn’s ‘Culture of Happiness Award’ reiterates the importance of finding happiness in the work you do, and one of the best ways to do this is to find your dream job. This also aligns with LinkedIn’s vision – to create an economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. And Today, we are honored to partner the National program for Happiness and Positivity through the ‘Culture of Happiness Award’,” said Ali Matar, Head, LinkedIn Talent Solutions, Emerging Markets, MENA.

To be held for the third consecutive year on October 18 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dubai, the 2017 MENA Talent Awards will recognize and acknowledge LinkedIn’s top customers in MENA for the great work and results they’ve achieved during the year.

The awards will be given in different categories such as Top Social Recruiters, Best Talent Acquisition team, Best Employer Brand on LinkedIn, LinkedIn Rising Star, Culture of Learning and Most Social Executive in addition to the new ‘Culture of Happiness’ award.
