The MediaVantage has appointed Dan Qayyum as International Sales Director, with the mandate for multiple media groups including News UK, IC Publications, Nation Media Group, Hindustan Times, Russia Today, among others. In this multifaceted role, he will be responsible for managing the sales team, along with sales operations, hiring and training of sales staff, and new business and media acquisitions.
Mr Qayyum brings with him over 16 years of sales experience, he started his career working for Phones4U while studying in London, and was later promoted to become the company’s youngest store manager at 23. After moving to Dubai in 2004, he has been part of the international media representation fabric for nearly 13 years. Starting his media career with BSA Consultants, over the years he has been responsible for revenue growth, business acquisition and hiring and training sales staff.
With a network of affiliates and partnerships built over 13 years, Mr Qayyum has extensive expertise, knowledge and experience in booking international media, making him the point of contact for advertisers and agencies looking to reach global audiences with their print, digital, broadcast or outdoor media plans.
Mr Qayyum has also been active with social causes like setting up a charity that provides disaster relief and evacuation for flood victims in South Asia, and has been invited by several international media such as Al Jazeera, Russia Today, BBC, etc. for his analysis on regional geo-politics and security issues.
