Gauging the growing demand for a company that can wear both the agency and publisher hat, former Mindshare hand and Founder of Lovin Dubai, Richard Fitzgerald, has launched Augustus. Based in Dubai, Augustus has begun with catering to the Middle East region. Its board of advisors include Zee Kane, the former CEO of The Next Web and Helen Al Uzaizi, the Founder of child entrepreneur program, BizWorld.org.

Augustus is looking to provide brands and agencies with a full suite of services in media, data and content. In social media, it will provide training, community management, strategy, software licenses, reporting & analytics. In content, it will cater across formats such as gifs/ cinegraphs, media publishing, listicles/ articles, video creation and branded events.

In addition to these services, Augustus will manage and operate the publishing brand Lovin Dubai, alongside being regional representative for Snaplytics and other social media software.

“Augustus is a fusion between an agency and a media publisher, designed for ‘new media’. We are bringing that always on mindset to brand publishing; we are not a traditional 40-hour-a-week company. We decided to look at media consumption today, and while many social platforms, tech companies and even publishing brands are being created to cater to the different ways people consume media, there aren’t many marketing companies created to provide services for the new mediums,” said Richard Fitzgerald, Managing Director, Augustus.

The company’s vision is to establish and maintain a ‘new order’ of media advertising with data and content at the heart of everything it does. Its mission is to be the ‘new media’ company of choice in the Middle East by generating profitable growth through innovation and breaking the mold in marketing communications.

At present, Augustus is based in the Google Astrolabs in Dubai, and has a team of five full-time staff.
