Ending a nine-year old partnership with OMD, Middle East’s telecom brand, du, has roped in Starcom MediaVest Group as its media buying and planning duties, post a multiagency pitch. The mandate also includes the digital mandate for the brand for 2015.
Starcom MediaVest officials have confirmed the development, reinstating du’s plans in 2015 that would include digital in a significant manner.
Earlier this month, OMD had pulled out of the media review. The agency had held the account since 2006 along with du’s creative partner Leo Burnett, and was reappointed in 2011.
