Two marketers on PHD MENA’s client roster – Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Huawei – have extended their relationship with the media agency, following competitive reviews.
DWTC, the region’s fair, exhibition and event organizer, has renewed its contract after three years with the agency. Huawei, a provider of information and communications technology solutions, has added Lebanon to PHD’s remit, which already includes the UAE.
“Winning new business is always very rewarding but there is something special in being retained by or receiving an expanded brief from an existing client, as it intimates a strong level of satisfaction. DWTC is a prestigious brand with ambitious plans. We can’t ask for much more from our clients than to expect from us to turn their dreams into reality,” said Luca Allam, Managing Director, PHD UAE.
As a fair and exhibition powerhouse, DWTC is a major contributor to the UAE economy and an ambassador for Dubai around the world. Over the last three years, PHD has positively impacted the brand’s marketing performance and has injected technology and innovation in the way it communicates to help supercharge DWTC’s business offering.
Huawei has a thriving business in Lebanon with a busy pipeline of phone launches. In September, the company released the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus models, which will be followed by the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, a device that features an artificial intelligence processor. A recent report by IDC states that Huawei remained the world’s third-largest smartphone manufacturer in Q2 of this year.
“We’re delighted to welcome Huawei on board as part of our growing list of clients in Lebanon. There is much to be achieved in the telecom sector and we are confident that with our respective knowledge and expertise, together we can take Huawei to even greater heights here,” added Maroun Hassoun, General Manager, PHD Lebanon.
