The International Andy Awards, probably the first award to hold a live broadcast of its jury deliberations on the entries, has announced its winners for this year.
From the region, FP7/CAI has won in Idea and Craft category for its campaign ‘Now or Never’ for Orange Telecom.
Another agency that won a Gold is Y&R for its work done for Inter-religious Council of Bosnia & Herzegovina ‘One Book For Peace.’
The Awards no longer gives away Silver and Bronze distinctions and hence all the winners won a Gold.
Last year, the Andy Awards, run by the Advertising Club of New York, had overhauled its process of awarding winners and eliminated categories as a whole.
Believing that a great idea is a great idea, it urged the industry to simply enter their best work to be judged and rewarded accordingly. The winners were announced in primarily two categories — Craft and Idea, apart from its Grandy, Bravery, Social Good and Student Awards.
