Djembe Communications, a pan-African communications consultancy announced that it will unveil a report on “Entrepreneurship in Africa”, in association with Forbes Insights. The research findings garnered from over 4,000 African nationals aged 16 to 40 in Angola, Ghana, Mozambique and Nigeria respectively, will be presented during a series of roundtables to be held in each market. The inaugural study, to be unveiled on 22 September, also marks the launch of Djembe’s new research arm, Djembe Insights.

“We are proud to announce the launch of our research arm, Djembe Insights, a new capability that will release high quality annual research reports on key issues and trends impacting Africa. As a best-in-class communications consultancy, we believe that a dedicated research platform will enable us to provide insights-driven solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders across sub-Saharan Africa”, said Mitchell Prather, Managing Director, Djembe Communications.

The report “Job Creation in Sub-Saharan Africa: Entrepreneurs. Governments. Innovation” will ascertain how youth and young adults in key sub-Saharan African countries view the state of entrepreneurship in the region; its role in sustainable and urgent job creation; where they feel the opportunities lie; and how they can be supported in creating entrepreneurship-led jobs that today’s innovation economies demand.

“One of the most pressing issues in Africa right now is job creation for its expanding youth population. Fueling entrepreneurship skills amongst African youth and catapulting SMEs across key sectors is crucial for sustainable job creation. Our research, in association with Forbes Insights, aims to provide African stakeholders, including governments and business leaders, with valuable insights into the crucial role that entrepreneurs play in advancing the region’s economy,” added Ms Prather.
