Memac Ogilvy Leads Film Lynx Shortlist; IMPACT BBDO, FP7/CAI Follow

Lynx Film

The Film shortlist at the Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity is led by MEMAC Ogilvy with five entries making it to the shortlist. IMPACT BBDO and FP7/CAI follows with four entries in the shortlist. Both J. Walter Thompson MENA and Y&R MENA have three entries each. Leo Burnett and Kairo have two entries each competing for Film Lynx. The other agencies that are shortlisted include M&C Saatchi and Dubizzle Dubai.

The Film category sees a total of 225 entries from 11 countries this year, up from the 192 entries it had received last year.

David Lubars, Chief Creative Officer, BBDO Worldwide and Chairman, BBDO North America is the Jury President for this category.

The other jury members are Paul Silburn, Chief Creative Director Saatchi & Saatchi; Can Faga, Chief Creative Officer Lowe and Partners; Cheryl Van Ooyen, Managing Director, Executive Creative Director mcgarrybowen; Fran Luckin, Executive Creative Director, Quirk; Kurt Georg Dieckert, Creative Director and Founder, dieckertschmidt and Wain Choi, Global Executive Director and VP, Cheil Worldwide.

Now in its eighth year, the Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity is a meeting place for the
Middle East and North Africa region’s (MENA) advertising and communications industry. Entry categories for the Dubai Lynx Awards are: Film, Film Craft, Print, Print & Poster Craft, Outdoor, Radio, Media, Direct, Promo & Activation, Interactive, Integrated, Design, Mobile, PR and Branded Content & Entertainment. This year has seen a record 2,473 entries from 21 countries.

Dubai Lynx is part of Lions Festivals, organisers of Cannes Lions, Lions Health, Lions Innovation, Spikes Asia, Eurobest and the Asian Marketing Effectiveness and Strategy Awards.
