After a massive start for the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, with Impact BBDO winning a Grand Prix in the Print & Publishing Lions category, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity announced five more category shortlists on day two. These included Social & Influencer Lions, PR Lions, Direct Media Lions, Creative Strategy Lions and Creative Data Lions.
Agencies from MENA and Pakistan have cornered 16 entries in the PR Lions shortlist at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Impact BBDO has seven entries shortlisted. Three are for 28 Too Many’s ‘The Zero Tolerance Ribbon.’ Another three are for An Nahar’s ‘The Blank Edition’. ‘The Toxic Flag’ for Waste Management Coalition also has a shortlist in the category.
BBDO Lahore has two shortlists for ‘Truck Art Child Finder’ for Berger Paints.
VMLY&R has two shortlisted entries for Lebanese Basketball Foundation, titled ‘No Cedar, No Lebanon’ and ‘The Wrong Anthem’.
TBWA\Raad has a shortlist for ‘The Art Gap Finder’ for Standard Chartered Bank.
Leo Burnett Beirut is shortlisted for ‘#ShameOnWho’ for Abaad Resource Center For Gender Equality.
Wunderman Thompson Beirut has a shortlist in the category for ‘Young Bride’ for RDFL.
There are nine shortlists for MENA & Pakistan in the Media Lions category.
Impact BBDO has four shortlists in the category. These include two shortlists for The Blank Edition for An Nahar, one for ‘Mutilated Words’ for 28 Too Many and one for ‘The Toxic Flag’ for Waste Management Coalition.
BBDO Lahore has two shortlists for its work ‘Truck Art Finder’ for Berger Paints.
TBWA\Raad’s ‘OMO Tag’ for Unilever is also shortlisted in the category.
There is also a shortlist for Commonwealth/ McCann Dubai for ‘Road Rage Ratio’ for Chevrolet MENA, and one for The Classic Partnership Dubai for ‘India Dega Aashirvad’, for India Gate Basmati Rice.
There are five shortlists for MENA & Pakistan in the Direct Lions category.
Dominated by Impact BBDO, four shortlists include two for the entry ‘The Toxic Flag’ for Waste Management Coalition. Impact BBDO is also shortlisted for ‘Twix Face Off’ for Mars and ‘The Blank Edition’ for An Nahar, the entry that won a Grand Prix on day one.
The fifth shortlist is to BBDO Lahore for ‘Truck Art Finder’ for Berger Paints.
There is one shortlist in the Creative Strategy Lions. This is taken by FP7/DXB for ‘Parenthood Rephrased’, for Baby Shop.
There are no shortlists for the region in the Creative Data Lions and Social Influencer Lions category.
