As the only global creative awards judged by journalists who write about advertising and marketing, the Epica Awards allow agencies to show their work to a unique group of people who can spread the word about their creative talent. This year, more than 60 editors and senior journalists, including The Arabian Marketer, served on the Epica jury.
The agencies that made it to the shortlists in this year’s awards include Wunderman MENA, Cheil Worldwide – Dubai and TBWA\Raad. The winners will be announced on November 17 at a ceremony in Amsterdam, following the final round of judging next week.
Wunderman MENA got the highest number with six shortlists in Homes, Furnishings & Appliances as well as Print Craft category. The agency got shortlisted for its campaign ‘Flavors to Fragrances’ – ‘Garlic’, ‘Fish’ and ‘Chicken’ for GE.
Cheil Worldwide Dubai and TBWA\RAAD had three shortlists each. Cheil got shortlisted for Samsung KSA’s Samsung Noise Cancellation Print Ads – ‘Pops’, ‘Tarab’ and ‘Classical’ while the latter got two shortlists for its ‘Champion’s Hijack’ campaign for Go Sport and ‘Emirates Movie Index’ for Emirates Holidays.

This year is very special for the Epica Awards as it marks Epica’s 30th anniversary. The celebrations will be marked with a full-day conference and an awards show in Amsterdam on November 17.
