Data Point: 62% Use Music Streaming Apps; Only 13% Pay

Various music streaming apps are undertaking steps to converting more users into their paid-for tier. At present, there is significant disparity between these tiers. According to Global Web Index data, there is a 50-point gap between those who say they use music-streaming services (62 percent) and the numbers paying for this access (13 percent).

Age-based differences are interesting here. The 16-24s are the most likely to be using these services each month and are also the most likely to be paying – with figures then declining in line with age.
