Dubai-headquartered creative production company Baroque has been busy. As part of its global expansion, the company has launched Baroque Film. The move follows the company’s acquisition of Milan-based Dress Code Film. The new unit will be spearheaded by Lorenzo Bassano, one of the Co-founders of Dress Code Film Dress Code Film will continue to operate in Milan as part of Baroque Global.
The other directors on Baroque Film’s roster include Cannes Lion-winning Ivan Vaccaro, Luigi Pane, Paris-based Pascal Dash, Luigi Dias, Italian commercials, fashion and music video director Serena Corvaglia, Greek auteur Vardis Marinakis and 23-year-old Paris-based Emma D’Hoeraene.
Mr Bassano’s first act as the head of Baroque Film was to relocate the Argentinian director and cinematographer Dario Sabina, along with lead production designer Nieves Cabanes Pellicer, to the Baroque HQ in Dubai.

Now, as he takes on the leadership role at Baroque Film, Lorenzo will pass on his expertise and passion for film as well as his skills in interactive filmmaking for new media platforms to our roster of directors to ensure we create groundbreaking work with passion, love and care.”
Parent company Baroque was officially launched in March but has been building its organization and creative team since June last year.
