Daman Insurance Gives Digital Experience To Consumers

The National Health Insurance Company Daman launched its ‘Daman’ and ‘Thiqa’ apps.

“Daman has always been a pioneer in our field. We are a society on the move, and Daman’s smart phone applications ensure our services and staff are available to our members, on their mobile devices, at any time. These apps are part of our overarching strategy to integrate digital solutions into our operations to improve our members’ experience,” said Dr. Michael Bitzer, Chief Executive Officer, Daman.

The app serves as a digital Daman insurance card. Members will have access to information regarding their coverage details, including those of their family. Users can submit reimbursement claims from their phone and access their direct medical network claims. Members are still advised to show their existing Daman insurance card along with their digital card, throughout the implementation phase as medical facilities instil processes to accept the new digital cards.

The Daman and Thiqa apps are designed to suit most screens and handsets, including low-cost smartphones, so all members can make full use of the app’s functionalities. Other key features of the app include: the ability to locate nearby network providers on a map. The app has ‘one-tap’ access to Daman’s 24/7 customer care team.

“Daman continues to be a forerunner using the most modern technology to deliver our services to our members. When designing these applications, we focused on ease of use and accessibility. We want our apps to be efficient, to address the needs of our members, clearly and efficiently, on a range of devices,” said Dr. Sven Rohte, Chief Commercial Officer, Daman.

The app will allow members to access to their claims records, including the costs of each claim, in the same manner as they can through Daman’s website. Accessing claims via the app allows members to be more aware of their healthcare costs and encourage responsible use of their benefits.

These latest technological offerings are in keeping with the company’s goal to fully integrate technology into its processes and user experience.
