Among the 20+ automotive brands tracked within the GWI survey, it’s Audi that car owners are most likely to describe as high quality, with BMW and Mercedes-Benz also scoring highly on this metric.
Yet while German automotive brands dominate the top 5 when it comes to being associated with quality, Asian brands shows strongly when we ask Car Owners about which names they think are value for money. 40% or more think that Toyota, Hyundai and Honda are value for money, while Ford also posts a figure of 40% here.
In contrast, Car Owners have a much more mixed view when it comes to reliability. Toyota tops the list on 44%, with Honda second, but two German brands are found in the top 5, alongside Ford.
