Work from various agencies in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region has been significantly recognized at one of the leading global award platforms of the advertising industry – The One Show. Thirty finalists have been shortlisted in the Show. The competition, celebrating the year’s best work in advertising, design and marketing communications, will take place at Cipriani Wall Street on May 10 and May 12 during Creative Week, the preeminent festival celebrating the intersection of advertising, design and the arts. The ADC Annual Awards will take place on May 8.
The One Show announced its finalists across all categories with the region securing 30 shortlists in a total of 571 finalists from 38 countries.
DDB Dubai and Impact BBDO Dubai seem to be leading the race in the region with both agencies securing 10 shortlists each. DDB Dubai’s work for UN Women ‘Finding Her’ secured six shortlists while its campaign for Henkel ‘Love At First Wash’ secured four spots.
On the other hand, Impact BBDO, secured three spots for Sydlexia’s ‘Making Sense of Dyslexia’. Its Mars’ ‘Stop The Hunger’ and Johnson & Johnson’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ got two shortlists each along with Law Andak Dam’s ‘Kol Nokta Btefrek’, La Libanaise Des Jeux’s ‘Skip Friday 13’ and Johnson & Johnson’s ‘Save Their Tears’ having one shortlist each.
The next contenders include Memac Ogilvy Dubai and TBWA\RAAD Dubai with three shortlists each. Memac Ogilvy’s campaigns for IKEA and Nestle Middle East got to the finalists along with TBWA\RAAD Dubai’s campaign for Go Sport and Pril.
Other finalists from the region include Leo Burnett Dubai and Y&R Dubai.
