Just as soon I arrived at the Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity, I was taken by the environment of creativity and innovation. It is most definitely a refreshing experience, and I promised myself that I would get the most out of this opportunity.

Being part of the Future Leaders of Marketing Academy, that is powered by Starcom Mediavest Group, really immersed me into Dubai Lynx by giving me training opportunities and a more condensed networking prospect that was perfectly tailored for me. The theme was ‘Brands With a Purpose’ but it didn’t stop there. I learned about generation edge (did you know they’re three billion?), story-telling and the benefits of using Snapchat in marketing.

What really surprised me was the amount of people I knew from university and school that I bumped into. Having lived in Dubai, Kuwait and Qatar, the event reconnected me to old classmates who were in the industry and surely, we hit it off and I’m expecting that these will surely become fruitful opportunities.

All in all, it was an awesome day. I also drew on a napkin to enter a competition. Dubai Lynx offers plenty of opportunities to get out there. Yet, there’s still so much more to do!
