MediaCom has been appointed as Duracell’s global media agency of record, following a competitive pitch. The development that covers 32 markets includes the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region as well, in addition to the US, UK and China.
MediaCom will take over the business on July 1, 2020. The incumbent on the business is Starcom.
While many global pitches have been paused due to Coronavirus, the Duracell pitch started in November and according to a company statement, the “key chemistry meetings and face-to-face presentations were completed before the lockdown began in many markets”.
