Social Media Platforms Bring Their A-Game To CES

Undoubtedly, the largest tech convention globally, CES tends to attract over 200000 people from across the world to take a first hand view on the changes in technology that are impacting and changing consumer’s lives. From an advertising and media perspective, CES has been serving as a platform that gives agency execs a sense of change leading technologies that impact consumer behavior, and in the process, bear an impact on marketing.

It is also a platform that social media platforms chase with minute-by-minute updates and information that can help delegates who are attending, or those who choose to view top trends from afar.

Facebook continues to be #CES2017 “official” social media partner in its golden jubilee year as well.

Needless to say #CES2017 coverage on Facebook is exhaustive – from on-site interviews, videos on the ‘Whoa’ moment that is CES’ 2017 theme to all important CES related information, CES’ Facebook page will serve as a good central information point and also a resource on top takeaways and key headlines.

Twitter however is not letting the opportunity to just go by. The microblogging platform has its own set of CES related content that it will be bring live from Las Vegas. While Twitter is not serving as an ‘information’ platform as much, it would be decoding the event.

Twitter has partnered with The Verge to bring Live daily tech news in a tech-packed 90-minute show

It is also using #CES2017 as a platform to make some more noise around its recently launched 360 video, for both Periscope and Twitter that it claims will teleport users into unique experiences from the CES floor.

During the event, Twitter will also be talking to influencers and celebs from the sports, tech, advertising, and music industries, including four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Joe Montana and Upworthy CEO Eli Pariser who would be sharing some of their favorite finds from CES and discussing how the intersection of tech is changing their industries and lives.

Headed to the US or not, social media platforms will ensure that those who are interested in CES will receive more than enough information and news from Vegas in their Middle East & North Africa offices.
