Winners were announced for six categories on day three of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The categories include Industry Craft Lions, Brand Experience & Activation Lions, Film Craft Lions, Entertainment Lions, Entertainment Lions For Music and Digital Craft.
Two Gold & One Silver In Industry Craft Lions
The gold streak for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region continued as Y&R Dubai and J Walter Thompson Casablanca each won a Gold Lion in the Industry Craft category.
Y&R Dubai won a Gold Lion in this category for Interreligious Council in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The campaign has six entries ‘Mosaics’, ‘Door’, ‘Relief’, ‘Beads’, ‘Carpet’ and ‘Stained Glass’. The Industry Craft Lion celebrates the creative artistry, talent and skill required to deliver a beautifully executed solution and bring a creative idea to life.
J Walter Thompson Casablanca, that has created history by becoming the first agency in Morocco to win a Lion, won a Gold Lion in the same category for Nestle Tunisie Distribution for the brand Kitkat. The agency also won a Silver in the same category for four entries ‘Office’, ‘Factory’, ‘Street’, ‘Metro Station’.
TBWA\Raad Wins Bronze In Brand Experience & Activation Category
TBWA\Raad has won a Bronze Lion in the Brand Experience & Activation Category for its entry ‘Camelpower’ for Nissan Middle East.
The Brand Experience & Activation Lions celebrates creative, comprehensive brand building through the next level use of experience design, activation, immersive, retail and 360 customer engagement. This category has been designed to demonstrate how the customer journey, experience of the brand and optimization of every touch point led to increased brand affinity and commercial success.
The region however missed its chance this year to bring home any Lions for the categories of Film Craft Lions, Entertainment Lions, Entertainment Lions For Music and Digital Lions Craft.
