Horizon FCB’s Shade Of Blue For ‘The Cause’

autismHorizon FCB has launched a campaign to support ‘The Cause’ project, which aims to spread awareness about autism and gather donations. For this campaign, Horizon FCB crafted an idea that involved changing the color of the previous Kuwait flag from red to blue, to represent the color of autism.

The campaign coincides with World Autism Day and aims to attract curiosity behind the hashtag that means ‘for them we changed to the color blue’. The advertising agency has launched the campaign to support Abeer 2 team for mentally disabled that was established as a part of Kuwait Voluntary Work Center in 1999. To join the campaign, people can donate to Abeer 2 through the website Jaribha.com.

“We are proud to launch this campaign that supports the humanitarian cause of aiding those with intellectual disabilities, with a specific emphasis on autism. We are working hard to spread awareness in society and try to reach families who have similar cases, as they need special care to help integrate them into society. We achieve this through providing a specialized center for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities where experts can provide them with the educational support they need to develop their skills and help them achieve their true potential. Thanks to your donations and support, we are able to continue on this journey and provide the best services that we can offer,” said Abeer Al-Safran, Co-Founder of Abeer 2.

This campaign was covered by media at all the stages from planning to launching, which further helped in increasing the interest of the whole community. Many organizations spread the message of the campaign by mediums of coverage, printing and social network.

‘The Cause’ project falls under Gust University’s corporate social responsibility involving the collaboration of students and faculty.
