Unilever has completed the review of its digital media duties in the GCC region, which was part of a global arrangement. Following this, the FMCG major has now moved its digital mandate to MCN Network’s Magna Global. The incumbent on the business is PHD MENA.
Magna is Unilever’s agency of record in the region for other media. This development will consolidate the entire media mandate for Unilever in the GCC with Magna Global.
Confirming the development to Arabian Marketer, a Unilever prepared statement quoted, “As part of the global arrangement, Unilever reviewed its media agency arrangement in GCC. Following the review, it is our decision to consolidate our digital media with Magna Global.”
The statement further added, “PHD have been an invaluable partner of Unilever over the past four years, and we are grateful for their partnership and contribution to our business.”
The development will be effective January 1, 2019.
