Vodafone’s Global Media Buying Lands With Carat

Following a global agency alignment, Carat will now support Vodafone with global media buying. In the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, this development will take shape in markets such as Egypt, where Vodafone is among one of the key telecom players.

Carat has confirmed it has been appointed as Vodafone’s global media buying agency. The scope includes media buying across multiple international markets, partnered with Vodafone’s in-housed biddable media team.

“Vodafone is a future focused organization, challenging old ways of doing things while pioneering the new and maximizing the opportunities of the digital economy. We are delighted to be partnering with them, integrating the best of our agency capabilities to accelerate Vodafone’s evolution to become market-leading in digital marketing and in-house media buying,” said Will Swayne, Chief Client Officer, Media & Performance, Dentsu Aegis Network.

The Vodafone win comes close in the heels of Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board selecting Isobar as its Digital Agency of Record. Tasked with encouraging tourism to Egypt, Isobar will be driving digital strength and brand loyalty via a bespoke international social, content, experiential and digital media strategy across seventeen key markets including the GCC, China, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, India, USA and the UK.
